Volunteer Administration Assistant

Role Overview: 

To assist with the administration of activities and services run by a charity for people who are sight impaired.

Hours / days to be agreed

Reports To: Volunteer Coordinator

Example of duties depending on skills and experience:

  • Answering phones and dealing with incoming enquiries
  • Responding to email enquiries
  • Welcoming visitors
  • Helping with blog posts and design of posters / flyers and basic marketing
  • Updating our database
  • Finance admin / data entry
  • Helping with events planning
  • Helping collate monthly prize draw activity
  • Email correspondence
  • Booking appointments and other engagements
  • Scanning and organising documents

Soft skills – Friendly, conversational, helpful and flexible to support charity service users / members and the team

Organisation – Able to prioritise and deal with a variety of tasks

Communication verbal and written – ability to adapt tone and content to the audience.
