CPD Vision Impairment Awareness Training

Our interactive training sessions are aimed at

  • teams and organisations who would like to better support colleagues and customers who are visually impaired, and enhance their understanding of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)
  • individuals looking to learn more about visual impairment for their work or personal life.

The sessions are practical, educational and fun. They can be run at either your premises or at our Centre on Rowlands Road, Worthing (or another mutually agreed venue). Open courses held at our Centre are advertised here, on our events calendar, on Facebook, or in our newsletter.

What we cover:

  • An introduction to vision impairment and eye conditions
  • Communication and problem solving
  • Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)
  • Practical guiding techniques
  • Social model of disability and legal considerations

We offer:

  • Sessions are £30 per person (minimum of £300 to deliver at your premises).
  • The training is 3 hours long, with a short break.
  • We can deliver talks to a bigger organisation or bespoke training if you would like a session designed for your organisation.
  • The course is CPD accredited and we award a CPD approved certificate on completion.
